To analyse 'success' you must measure it. Are you happy with the season your team have had ?

OK. Cast your mind back to the start of the season. What then did you honestly expect your team to do ?

My logic told me that Rangers would close the gap on Sellick, (not too hard, following PLG), and possibly win a cup. I saw this season as a settling-in period for the new players and management team. A steadying of the ship, as it were.

Rangers took Sellick to within a game of the title. They qualified for the Uefa Cup final. They gave a very good account of themselves in THE hardest group of the UCL. They are in the final of the Scottish Cup, and must be the hottest favourites in history to win it,(other than in some folks vivid imaginations), and have already won the League Cup.

Therefore, I am highly delighted with my teams performance this season.

Football is results-driven. My team had many great results this season. We will rebuild and be back better and stronger next year. Be in no doubt of that.

Did your team have a better one than you hoped for ?

Totally agree !!!
Reply:I never imagined we would get to the uefa cup final or take the title to the last day so it was very pleasing, although a sore one last night i thought the league would have been won by celtic before then, was only really expecting to win a domestic cup this season, so 2 will do nicely, i regret that we never got rid of cousin in january and got someone in that wanted to play for us, all in all a fantastic season that could have been even better, had it not been for the kick in the baws we got in manchester then last night.
Reply:I for one am one ecstatic Hoops fan..we thought we had blown it but kept the faith and fought back....cant get better than that.....
Reply:Well we won "THE" trophy every team in the S.P.L wants to win,so yes im happy.
Reply:I'm happy, 3 in a row and you dropped a 7 point lead (with a game in hand).
Reply:if you told me we would have taken the title race to the final day on goal difference, made a european final, won the cis cup and be playing against QoS in the scottish cup final, id have bitten your hand off. or called you stupid!

gutted we didnt win the league - but im annoyed at some people on football forums who are calling for walters head already. he has turned us around and we can only improve further
