I was wondering what is wrong with my knee, its my right knee, numb, big lump around it.?

i was in a car accident 3 yrs ago i was the passenger and my knee ended up in the glove box due to me not having my seatbelt on*we were just exiting the wendy's and i was just putting it on when we got hit* and i was in my own accident 4 months later. now its my right knee there is a large lump to the left or i suppose the inside and below my knee. it is inside there are no cuts or anything. it was just bruised when i got in the accident but obviously ive aggravated it in the second accident and just walking with it. i get dead leg at night and when i move a certain way my whole knee cap cracks. i have n health insurance so my doctor just suggested just going to a sports medicine office and saying i have knee pain. i dont know if its liquid in there and if by now its solidified but im worried. i dont know if i have to get it drained or if i'll need surgery. any suggestions? i mean would a regular xray show whats going on or should i get an MRI?

It sounds like water on the knee. Google It and it will tell you the symptoms. Hope this helps!!
Reply:id have to say that you probobly got it swollen from the inside but what your doctor said is probobly best to do
Reply:It could be a seperated patella. I had that from direct impact on my knee. Their isn't much you can do except ibuprofen to keep down inflamation and exercises to strengthen your knee and surrounding muscles to tighten it back to position.
Reply:Get a MRI. When you make appointment tell office you have swelling, numbness, a lump%26amp; your entire kneecap cracks. You could have a clot also.

I suggest you get it checked out as soon as possible.

The MD you went to see sounds like a jerk. Would he not see you because you don't have insurance?

I hope you get the help you need

Good luck

Will using PRISMA COLORS on black pencil kill it?

Will using prismacolor markers on something I drew with black colored pencil make it run or die? lol or will it be fine? Am I better off copying my drawing using well...my copier machine and coloring that in? or will that run too......? T_T G-d damn not having good waterproof pens..

Will using PRISMA COLORS on black pencil kill it?
i just got those markers, i want to be a fashion designer, but what paper is Good for that and what are some good books for fashion sketching?

curleQ94@yahoo.com
Reply:Colored pencils are made of pigment and wax. A high quality colored pencil has more pigment. Prismacolor pencils are my favorite. You should be able to use the Prismacolor markers on your drawing, the pencil will not run, unless you you used watercolor pencil. The wax in regular colored pencil will act as a resist, and repel the marker ink.

I would experiment on a few thumbnails sketches, before attempting on a drawing you put a lot of effort into.

I think I have a hormonal imbalance? Is there anything I could do/take to treat it?

Does anyone else here have any hormonal imbalances and, if so, how did you find out about it and how did you treat it/how are you treating it at the moment? My health has been getting worse for 2months now and I've been getting really bad PMS symptoms(one is I feel suicidal before my period :S) and my periods are often very l8. I saw a doctor and told her I thought I had a hormonal imbalance and wanted to be tested for that but she said it's unlikely and she thought I had anemia so she didn't check my hormones. I had a blood test and it came back that I don't have anemia and my thyroid and blood count? is fine. Should I go back and demand to be tested for hormonal imbalances?Or are there private doctors I could see who specialize in hormone issues because the doctor I saw was convinced I didn't have hormonal problems. I have so many symptoms of it though and from what I've read on the internet they sound like symptoms mainly older people get %26amp; I'm only 16?Thx in advance 4 any replies!x

Have a routine (eat same things at same time) diet for a week (no skipping meals) and reduce or deal with your stress or issues and you will feel better! Hormones imbalance can give you depression and painful %26amp; fluctuating periods!! Eat more red meat!!!
Reply:I have a hormonal imbalance and it took forever for someone to diagnose it. It was the same with me, I told my doctor about the moodiness around my period, I was even having hot flashes and I was only 16 at the time. I went to an allergist to see if it was something like that, and finally a gyno determined my hormone levels were off. She prescribed me a birth control pill to control my hormones and it has been working ever since. I would highly recommend talking to a gyno or someone who specializes in hormone levels.
Reply:yes if your not happy go back to the doctors, as your only young why dont you take your mom with you for support. dont worry , just take mom along and explaine your not feeling well and ask if you can have other things looked at, including your hormone levels. in the mean time why dont you pop to your nearest health food shop, holland and barratt are good and see if they can offer any advice,

Vegetarianism? Would you subscribe to it?

I'm vegetarian [no meat (that includes fish) except egg], and I know I may not get enough protein, but basically it's more healthy in every other way.

I was just wondering, given the choice, would you become a vegetarian [lifelong vegetarianism]? No racist/offensive answers please.

Vegetarianism? Would you subscribe to it?
Nope. It's all part of a well rounded diet. But everyone has a choice and i wish you well. To get more protein, eat eggs, tofu, beans, dairy products. All the best.

Reply:It's pretty easy to get enough protein on a vegetarian diet. Good sources include almonds, black beans, cashews, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), fake meats, kidney beans, lentils, peanut butter, pinto beans, seitan, soybeans, soymilk, sunflower seeds, textured vegetable protein (TVP), and tofu.

Anyway, to answer your question, I'm already vegetarian and can't imagine going back to eating meat.
Reply:If you are not born a vegetarian you cannot be a lifelong vegetarian.

Thats a bit elitist to me, why would a lifelong vegetarian be a club i'd want to subscribe to when its impossible ?

I'm not responsible for my upbringing.
Reply:Comments like "I know I may not get enough protein" is what fuels the fires. If you choose not to eat things with enough then that is your choice. I get plenty of protein from whole grains, soy products, nuts and almost everything else I eat.
Reply:No subscription necessary. I'm already vegan.
Reply:no, cows and pigs are way too yummy. but i respect your choice.
Reply:no.i would always stick to eating meat
Reply:i would! in fact, i did a while ago =)

being a vegetarian is great.....i definitely don't plan on stopping.
Reply:no

Great sentiment ----- what song is it?

little quiz here for R%26amp;P. Shouldn't be hard. I've always liked this song line. What song is it from? and the song is from where??

"The darkness must go down the river of nights dreaming

Flow morphia slow, let the sun and light come streaming

Into my life, into my life."

Great sentiment ----- what song is it?
Heh, it's from Rocky Horror Picture Show, "There's A Light (Over At the Frankenstein Place)."
Reply:Over At The Frankenstein Place from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Reply:Well it was beautiful, dark poetry, and I had no idea where it was from~

Re: The Global Warming Petition Project. How many eligible people haven't signed it?

If I lived in America I would be able to sign it as a result of my degree in engineering! Yet I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!

There must be tens of millions of Americans who are qualified to sign this, yet so few (31000) have done so!

Surely, given the ammount of publicity it has had and the ease of supporting it, if this view was widely held among qualifying people the numbers would be much higher!

Doesn't this petition reflect the truth that the skeptics are a very small minority among "qualified" people?

Re: The Global Warming Petition Project. How many eligible people haven't signed it?
Uh, no. It reflects a lot of educated individuals who are able to think for themselves and realize a scam when they see it.

You may also want to peruse some of these people. They are in the field and disagree with the doom and gloom predictions.

And as far as a consensus, that was a blatant lie started here:

There has never been a consensus. It may seem that way as the main stream TV only presents one side of the issue.
Reply:Poll's, samplings, and petition's...hmm you get more from the omissions then the facts.
Reply:its because it wasnt widely publicised that there was a petition... im quilified and i havent ever heard of this petition
Reply:You could only say that if you produced a simular paper with proponents who wanted something done. I for one am skeptical about the ALARMIST or CATRISTROPHIC global warming and too have an engineering degree. I am not going to sine that list as it probalb means more work for engineers and you never know when you interview with a greenpeace person.

As an engineer do you not find it apauling how little the AGW people do with the Thermodynamics?

Have you ever seen charts with heat transfer go up like a smile, reather than go up like a frown?
Reply:um can you please explain to me wat the heck the global warming petition project is cause i wanna noe im only 16 but maybe i can influence and persuade a lot of ppl and help out how would you qualify and why you needqualifications for a petition please let me noe and sry tht instead of answering your question im actually asking but maybe i can help out because it means as much to me as im sure ut means as much to you!!!!! Thanx!!!!!!!
Reply:That's really the key question, because all the 'skeptics' are getting out of this is that wow, 31,000 is a big number!

Of course, there are literally tens of millions of Americans with BS (or higher) science degrees. If just 10% of the population has these degrees (a reasonable estimate), then the Oregon Petition constitutes 0.1% of the scientific degree population.

Besides which, who cares what some random guy who got a BS in biology 30 years ago thinks about global warming? I know lots of people with BS degrees, and a lot of them know diddly squat about global warming. Having a BS degree does not make you informed on the subject.

The Oregon Petition is a joke. It was a joke the first time around, when they had such notable names as "Dr. Geri Haliwell" (Spice Girl). Twice. It was so bad they had to come out with this second version, but they kept the same ridiculous criteria. It's just stupid. The only hoax is that this list means anything.
