Reply:No, but it makes it harder to see what's going on behind you. My parents used to let us leave the light on when we were kids so we could read, but would make us turn it off if we got into traffic.
A cop may pull you over if you are the only person in the car, because it's not often you see someone driving around like that.
Reply:in our are yes it is illegal. its not often enforced but a vehicle may only operate with "approved equipment" while operating on hwys roads and streets. here if you want to use the interior light your supposed to pull of the roadway first.
