if the problem persists than how to update it
While updating AVG8, it takes long time and at lats it says "CANNOT BE UPDATED" or "SERVER FAILED" why is this
that happened to us also. It is because your internet connection timed out. We just went back to the update and it picked up from where it left off until it was done.
Reply:This could be a browser issue (IE7?) or it could be a Firewall issue (Norton?). Both can cause problems like yours. It could also be malware that prevents AVG from updating.
Often, if you just wait for a while and try again, it works, if the server was busy.
Disable your Firewall temporarily and retry.

AVG 8 FREE or PAID? XP or Vista? Are you on Dial UP? Have you tried to download updates directly from their website? Did AVG 8 successfully update in the beginning? Have you called your ISP?
