Is it bad for my parakeet to sleep upside down?

His name is Beast and he is always upside down. Now he is getting my other birds to do it too.

Is it bad for my parakeet to sleep upside down?
One of my keets, Bob, does it all the time. As soon as the light goes off and I go to get the cover, he goes up to the top of the cage and hangs upside down. He is about 5 now, and has been doing it all his life. There is nothing wrong with your Beast, it is completely normal.
Reply:LOL! Some birds love to be upside down!! I do have a budgie that sleeps that way also. Not often but sometimes, 100% normal!

my cockatiel has spazims and spins around and around its perch going up side down and back up, up side down and back up, up side down and back up

Reply:Are you sure they're doing it on purpose and they're not sick and off balance or something? I had a few parakeets a while back..never seen them do this.
Reply:that's not a parakeet...that's a bat..(LOL)...Don't worry, I have several (we have 7) who like to spend some of their time upside down. Our's don't sleep upside down through. They just spend a bit of time like that. Ever put a toilet paper roll in the cage for them to play with??? Have your camera ready...it's funny and totally harmless for them!
Reply:The other birds are copying it only. Anyway, my parakeet does that sometimes too.
