What could be wrong with my seven week old kitten. It's not eating, drinking, urinating, or defecating.?

It was acting fine last week and this week it is lethargic and not wanting to do anything but sleep. It isn't eating or anything. When I try hand feeding it, it won't even open its mouth.

In a word, a lot. Kittens shouldn't leave their mums til at least 8 weeks, leaving before this can cause major problems.





Get the kitten to the vets, not eating at such a young age can be fatal very quickly. If the kitten won't open it's mouth then there isn't anything you can really do, it needs to go on a drip.





It's not urinating or defecating because it hasn't eaten or drunk.

Reply:where is this kitten's mom? this kitten is still too young to be away from the mom....best bet get the kitten to the vet STAT and then get the kitten back with it's mom till it is 12 weeks old.
Reply:if you havent already gone to the vet. and even though the vet'll possibly suggest this. buy some cimicat - i think that's what it's called. my cat couldn't feed her litter, so we bought them that, and they ate it fine.
Reply:And you didn't take it to the vet when this first started? Kittens are babies - and they can die very quickly from not eating. It could be a dozen things wrong, none of which are going to go away on their own. This isn't something to mess with or wait out. He needs to go to the vet - if it isn't already too late. Taking a sick animal to the vet is all part of pet ownership.
Reply:I certianly agree with everybody else on here stop playing around and take him to the VETS , his life could depend on it. Because it doesnt sound like hell over come this he is too young too, so he needs more help than you can give right now.So think about that its a NO BRAINER- - - VETS NOW !!!!
