If the sun shining and its raining, does it really mean that the devil is beating his wife. ...?

is it true?

someone at work told me that

and i ask someone else if it was truth and they said they heard of it..

why do they say that

If the sun shining and its raining, does it really mean that the devil is beating his wife. ...?
I heard the saying before but I dont know if its true because Ive never been there to witness it first hand
Reply:honestly ive never heard this but it doesnt mean its not true maybe try some kind of search on folklore or urban legands.
Reply:I guess if you believe in make-believe creatures like the devil, you can be convinced of anything.

I've personally never heard this little quip of wisdom, but I do know that if the sun is shining and it's raining, that's the best time to look for a rainbow.
Reply:you should take a lesson in beginners Physics it should explain the refraction of light trough a water prism ... hence rain and the sun Good luck it has nothing to do with the devil and his wife LOL
Reply:They say that because they have no knowledge of the devil... Who has never married............... And he has A lot of followers that don't even know that they are in the devil hands.............................
Reply:That is what my Irish great-grandmother always said.

(Except she pronounced it "divil".)
Reply:haha over here in jersey we call those tropical showers. idk y they call it what u jus said.
Reply:Never heard this saying before. The saying I know is "If the sun is shining %26amp; it rains then it will rain again the next day at the same time" Have found this to be 90% accurate too
