Manchester United deserved it as they were unbeaten ?

Some say chelsea should of won i dont agree as,If Chelsea were the best team in europe they would not of lost to olympiakos. Also i feel if it wasnt for Riise and his own goal i feel Liverpool would of triumphed so dont talk to me about luck.

Manchester united did not get Chelsea's easy run in they got Roma,Barcelona great teams not Olympiakos and Fenerbace.

Manchester United deserved it as they were unbeaten ?
well said man utd rule, keep licking these nuts you industry mutts.
Reply:Chelsea is probably the best team, but for one team to really stand out is tough. There are so many great football players and teams, that for the most part that any of the top teams can win any given day. Chelsea shot themselves in the foot that game, and should have won, but luck was on Man U's side. Great game and tourney though overall. I think Chelsea had Liverpool all the way, but yea the own goal just made it so much harder for Liverpool. Who ever wins the Champions League (this case Man U) deserves it, there is no easy path and props have to be given.
Reply:Totally agree with you. Well said! Chelsea fans can't complain about luck they had luck with the draw that they got throughout the Tourney and that Riise own goal. Man talk about luck. You have hit the nail on the head. Chelsea had a horrible match against Liverpool and that own goal brought them back from the dead. Luck evens itself out in the end.
Reply:Chelsea fans need to stop grousing. ManU was lucky to win the league, lucky to win the cup, blah-blah-blah. Fact of the matter is that Chelsea were lucky ManU dropped points in the league to Blackburn and Boro to keep the Blues close. Chelsea were lucky not to be down 3-1 or even 4-1 at the half yesterday or they would have been rattling the woodwork to try and draw even. Both sides missed their chances. If you can't finish off the game while rattling the woodwork, then you take what you get when you go to penalties on a rough pitch and without your diving, tempermental, what-the-hell-was-he-thinking striker.
Reply:Neither team deserved to be on the losing side. The cliched game of two halves. It had skill, mistakes, luck, cheating, sportsmanship, power, pace, guile, tactics, clashing of styles, two managers who deserved to win the cup, one team seeking vindication, the other part of a manager's relentless pursuit, the team of history v.s the new kids on the block. Not finsihing an opponent off, coming back from despair, the pressure of penalties, tragedy, fate...

Over the 120, I couldn't separate them. Over a season, I think United - but since Grant took over (and I'm not saying it is to do with him yet - just a reference of time), Chelsea have been on the up and United have struggled since Christmas.

Either team would have been worthy champions of both Premiership and Champions League - whether you despise Chelsea and love United like I do, I think it was too tough to call.
Reply:cldnt agree more- theyplayed well on the D-day too. this has probably been one of the most consistent performances(thruout the yr) that i hv ever seen.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!
Reply:winning by penalties is pure luck. so i don't blame either team and it's no one's fault. it's a game . get a life
Reply:We'll see next season when the Gunners would make a sweet revenge against the two and finally establishing themselves as Europe's best
Reply:My thoughts exactly, Utd won against every team they played at least once, and we beat Roma 3 times! Ronaldo played a really good game despite the penalty and cynics will not be able to say he disappears against the big teams anymore.

!!!!!CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!!!!
Reply:I thought Man Utd deserved to win last night, and I'm a gooner. They were unbeaten and I'm proud to be English!
Reply:Yes, and people stupidly forget to acknowledge that.

We had the tougher matches, people wrote us off when before we played Lyon!

Then Roma!

Then Barca!

We won our league too which is what true European Champions do.

Chelsea had a much easier route to the final.

Also, in the final we had more shots on target than them, even if they did have more shots overall.
Reply:man u were lucky on the night, chelsea hit the woodwork 3 times in total, if any of them would of hit the other side of the post then man u would of had nothing. As for barca, they outplayed man u in both legs and roma are an average european team, man u are the luckiest team in history.
Reply:Chelsea were the better team in last nights game by a long shot, united were lucky.
Reply:Chelsea dominated Man U

But its fate
