How do i turn my hair bold with out dieing it?

i used hydrogen peroxide and it didn't turn my orange. it turned it light brown and its very pretty. but i would like to make it light and i was just wondering if there is any other way to make it lighter. if no one has an idea i will just use hydrogen peroxide again.

I am going to give you a big advice: If you don't know how to do it, get a professional to do it! My mother was trying to do the same thing and all her hair fell off. She failed like you the first time then tried to do it again and again and all her hair fell off.


I felt bad for her. She wore a hat for a while!





Make sure get a professional! Sometimes they hire these new people that have an idea but don't know what they are doing.
Reply:hydrogen peroxide is the same as colouring (it's the hydrogen peroxide in hair colour that gives the lift) the chemical action is the same only less extensive and through repeated treatments, more damaging. If you want to go blond your best bet is to consult with a stylist and discuss your desired results. As a colourist I would not suggest repeatedly treating the hair with hydrogen peroxide due to the damage constant exposure will bring, and due to the fact it has been treated with peroxide, I don't think it's a job you should try at home since box dyes are formulated for previously untreated hair. A good colourist will be able to give you some ideas, good luck :}
