WHY DID I GAIN IT BACK?

OK SO JUST THE OTHER DAY I WEIGHED 280 BUT YESTERDAY I ATE OUT I WAS OFF MY DIET FOR ONE DAY AND I LOOK AT THE SCALE FOR TODAY AND IT NOW SAYS 285. sO WHAT HAPPENED EVERYTIME I LOSE WEIGHT IF I EAT SOEMTHING BAD I GAIN IT BACK?

Reply:Well.... That's happened to me. Just when you think you're making progress, you have a set back. But take heart.... A portion of that could've been water weight gain if your cheat meal was heavy with sodium and carbs.





This is also a key reason why "diets don't work" for lasting weight loss. A diet is a temporary eating program for weight loss. But when you go off the diet, the weight comes back.





Future way of dealing with this.... Take a page from Will Smith's training diary. If you want a piece of pie, add more exercise to the day.





P.S. - If you aren't exercising, that also means you aren't burning extra calories to create a caloric deficit and missing an important element to permanent weight loss.
