I have a non-stop dull, achy pain. Do you suppose it could be an over use injury?

I have this non-stop, dull achy pain, that I have had since I was about 12 years old (I'm 17 now). It's mostly in my wrists and thumbs, and some of my fingers. Some times the muscles spasm (sort of) momentarily and I drop what I am holding and have worsened pains that last a few minutes. Also, my thumbs, wrists and fingers feel stiff lots of times. It makes it hard to write, type (not as bad though, I'd much rather type than use a pen), play the flute/clarinet/sax/piano and hold things. It's a lot worse in my write hand/wrist and the right is also slightly larger than my left, and I used to get ganglions on my wrist as well, but I have had any for about a year. And now this has started happening in my knee, where it spasm and hurts.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I also have a recurring blotchy, dry rash, that comes and goes and has since around the time the pain started. Also, my temperature is usually 99.8 F as opposed to 98.6 I hear it is supposed to be.

G'day. Sounds more like arthritis. (Yes, you can get it at your age!) See a dietician and modify your diet to suit.

Best of luck. Bruce
Reply:it sounds like arthritis, your doctor may be able to give you medication to ease with the pain or just take ibprofin. As far as your temp is concerned, everybody has a different normal body temp. not everyone is 98.6 that's just an average. My is in the 97's.
Reply:probably juvenile arthritis

those symptoms are about right
