Reply:i love it spelled with a k but then when people shorten it to katie well that is what i named my child would have been Kaitlyn but everyone would have shortened it to katie anyway so i just named her katie and got it over with





but yes if everyone would not shorten it then she would have been named Kaitlyn
Reply:I named my daughter Kaitlyn. I love it. And for people that say its too common, most names are 'too common' nowadays...ie: Anna, Hanna, Isabella, Emma, Emily, Hayden, Jayden, Ethan,Jacob, who cares!!! As long as you like the name, than thats all that matters. Who cares what others think.
Reply:It's one name I've never been able to take to. To me it's just Kate and Lyn joined together, however you spell it. Sorry, there are much better names in the world than that. My favourites are Gemma, Seth, Caine.
