Is it possible for my children to have blue eyes?

My eyes are a medium hazel green which is similiar to my mom's. However, my dad has blue eyes which is common amongst his family. I also have blond and red hair genes from my mother's side of the family. So is it possible to carry a gene with only one side of the family? I know another variable would be my wifes genes as well.

Is it possible for my children to have blue eyes?
Make a Punnet square. (If you dont know what that is loook it up on google.com, it is too hard for me to explain what it is.)
Reply:If your eyes are hazel, they are genetically blue eyes, so it's definitely possible.
Reply:As long as you find a girlfriend w/ blue eyes. Blue eyes are dominate.
Reply:it is very possible.

i herd a story of a girl whos parents where white.

but her mums mother was black.

and the girl was born with black skin.

every baby is born with blue ayes anyway...depends on your childs age.

and you have green/ hazel eyes but you will carry in your genes parts of your mother..like her eye colour even if your eyes arent blue.

(:
Reply:well I have brown eyes and my husband has blue eyes and brown is meant to be a dominant coloue but my bubbu has big blue eyes...so its all going to be a lovely surprise and really you wont even care once you are holding that little bundle in your arms!! good luck
Reply:you could always adopt a blue eyed baby. or better yet, make one with a blue eyed girl.
Reply:anything is possible
Reply:I have brown hair and eyes,my b/f has red hair and brown eyes. His whole family has either brown or green eyes. Me and my bro and dad all have brown, but my mother's are blue. Our son is almost 4 and his eyes are still blue.In fact he even has blond hair. And they say brown are dominent,I guess not, cause only one of our 2 children have brown. It's all in the genes of the family for generations. Otherwise every person you see on the street would have the same color eyes and hair. Hope this helps.
Reply:There is a website that has a eye colour calculator, it is really good, you put your eye colour, your parents, your spouses and parents and it gives you a percentage of the chances of what eye colour your kids will end up with, check it out:

Reply:well lets put it this way....i have dark brown eyes my hubby has light brown eyes, my mom has hazel and my grandfather bright blue and my dads are brown but all his siblings have blue eyes. my hubby family has blue eyes too.... when we had our daughter we expected her to have brown eyes and instead she has these intrguing Green eyes with blue surrounding the iris. SO really i believe when you have all the genes you never know what your going to get...,oh ps we both have dark brown hair and shes blonde like my mother..lol...she looks like my hubby with green eyes and blonde hair its hysterical!! goo luck..
Reply:you have a one in four chance (if your wife has a recessed gene too) but considering it is a recessed gene you'd have to be very lucky (if she doesn't theres no chance.). if she has blue eyes it increases to a three in four chance.
Reply:I have hazel eyes as does my husband. My mom is the only relative in the immediate family with blue eyes (well, and my sister) and my daughter got blue eyes.

I believe blue eyes are dominant. So chances are good that you could have a blue eyed baby.
Reply:Yeah you could have a blue eyes child..You didn't mention your spouse's color. But brown is a dominant gene so if one of you has brown, I doubt you'd end up with a blue eyed chld
Reply:it just depends, my mom has dark brown eyes and my dad has bedroom blue eyes, and guess wat color my eyes are??

Bright Green, and my brothers are Hazel so it just depends.
