Do you ever roast a whole turkey when it's not Thanksgiving or Christmas?

I really like it but we only have it once a year, or maybe twice. I was just thinking about buying a turkey today, but they didn't even have any whole turkeys in the store this time of year.

Do you ever roast a whole turkey when it's not Thanksgiving or Christmas?
My mom used to once in a great while. Personally, I like turkey anytime.
Reply:you couldn't find them? iknow we've roasted turkeys just for random family get-togethers
Reply:I'm sure you can find them somewhere. They aren't really seen outside of the holidays, but ask the deli section, if they don't have one I am sure they know where you can find one and YUM I love turkey =D
Reply:Yes turkey one of my favorite food's.love em in the oven %26amp; in the turkey fryer!
Reply:yeah. it's normal to do so. it jsut seems "traditional" for those holiday. but you should be able to find it in some store..

enjoy it anytime of the year! btw, one day you should try fried turkey. instead of roasting, my family would fry it in peanut oil because it cooks faster and its juicier and tastes GREAT.
Reply:Yes, that is the only turkey that is very good to me. Drag out the dressing, cranberries and sweet potatoes and have a great meal.
Reply:In this day and age, many people eat turkey often, especially for birthdays, all holidays, and etc.

I still like having it on Thanksgiving with all the trimmings.

We like ham, chicken or a roast for Christmas.
Reply:Yes I do. You can just buy two during the Holidays and freeze it. It will be just fine.
Reply:Every now and then if I am planning a party or something with a few close intimate friends I'll cook a turkey. I usually get mine at my local butcher store, I have to order it in advance thou.
