I got married last March in Vegas. How can I have it annulled?

Single for 8 years, I thought to marry a kind man is the thing to do --not just that, he and I have a lot of things in common (age, movies, concerns etc). I agreed to marry for several reasons: My parents think I need a companion -financially, emotionally and I thought it was a great idea. Well, just to make it short, everything I expected did not happen. He moved me to his parent's mobile home, his mother does his account and checkbook and he doesn't want to move out. To say the worst, he doesn't know how to make love to a woman, satisfy a woman. Selfish. We have not been intimate over a month now. I talked to him about it and says he doesn't have any problem in that area. I want out.

Wow! I'd call the county in which you got married to see how you can get it annulled. Don't wait on it either-- you don't want to get screwed because of a stupid "time is of the essence" issue!!!
Reply:you can get a divorce. annulments are actually harder to obtain than a divorce. annulments are only granted if you can prove fraud. like if he was gay but tricked you into marriage, if you hadn't consummated the relationship. but seeing as how it's over a year, you're odds for annulment are not good. just file for divorce. best wishes
Reply:You can't get it annulled..you're gonna need a divorce, and that's be a year after the wedding before you can apply...that's the rules over here in the UK, and I gather it applies over there, too...You have no grounds for annulment, you have had sex, albeit crap sex!
Reply:Your going to have to talk to a lawyer on that, I'm not sure you can have it annulled, you might have to divorce him.

Catholic Annulment? Contact your local parish priest. He will give you the paperwork to start the process.

Reply:RUN!!!!!!!! I you got married in Vegas then theres a pretty good chance its not even legal. If it is then just get a divorce. If he doesn't know how to treat you and satisfy you then you need to find somene who does.
Reply:Try for an annulment and if that doesn't work then go for a divorce. Never do something b/c someone else thought it was a good idea. You have to make you happy!
Reply:What you need to do is contact a lawyer that has free consultation and ask him what you need to do, sometimes there is a 30 or 60 day limit depending on what state you live in and may have to file for devorce/

Anyway, if you really want out and see no other way of continuing (like counseling) then go talk to a lawyer.
