If you buy a clock for someone for their b-day, is it true that he/she will have bad luck?

i dont know it is true cuz i heard it from my friend who heard it from her other friend

(out of curiousity) if its a myth can you tell me where it came from or mostly heard?

If you buy a clock for someone for their b-day, is it true that he/she will have bad luck?
"Luck" is not even a real principle. If anything, the proper term is "by chance" or "chance." Chance and time happen to everyone...and it's not necessarily because of something that is always physically done, (e.g. breaking a mirror, blah, blah, blah.) Chance is..."If I buy a lottery ticket, I have the possibility of winning." "Luck" is supposed to be some random event that 'just happens'...and we usually have to physically do something on our part, before there can be a reaction or effect to it. So likewise there's no such thing as "Lady Luck struck," of course. That goes for everything in life. You can't win the lottery if you don't play...because random stuff doesn't happen if you don't have an actual event to bring it to pass. You can't get a job without looking for one in some way, etc.

What happens is people start believing that they will 'have bad luck for 7 years' and their mind goes negative and in the gutter, making their supposed 'bad luck' come about...on their own accord. Which truly bad things may not even happen to them, because of their superstitious mindset...the way their mind sees it, it's "bad."
Reply:It's what you become aware of and the story made you aware of something you never thought of before.

If someone told you that if you take a rock away from the volcano in Hawaii you will have bad luck. All of a sudden anything that goes wrong is the awareness of the rock and the bad luck. Otherwise it would be just another **ty day
Reply:Hahah all I know is that my uncle bought my mum a very old clock for her birthday, she somehow managed to drop it on her toe, and was in hospital for a week. xD
Reply:No, you have to get a really big clock and hit them over the head with it - THEN they got bad luck.

Where do you get this weird stuff, anyway? A clock?
Reply:Never heard this one before in my 56 years..... and I've heard plenty. Buy the clock. It will keep them on time, and maybe keep them from being late for work and being fired.....
Reply:only if they believe they will
Reply:as if!
