i want to file child support but i was told it could take a really long time to kick in .if you have any info please let me know.
I want to file for child support in florida. is it really as difficult to do as i hear it is?
Contact a lawyer, or go to the Clerk of Court in your county, and ask them questions; like what to do, how long it takes, is there any assistance until you get the support, etc. Make a list of what you want to know before you go, so you'll be sure to get them all answered. They can answer them for you, but it DOES take a while to get support enacted, and enforced...in ANY state.....at least I would think, 6 months. Good Luck!
